Introducing: Lee Wright

Lee Wright is a satire writer from Nuneaton, Warwickshire. His four flash fiction stories, Soda Jerk, The Ear, The Allotment and We’ll Have You There By Noon are available on our website.

Lee began his writing career at the Hinckley Times newspaper where he wrote for a weekly sports column. He has self-published a novella Forget What You’ve Heard. Lee’s short story Seeking Lover, Lonely Mother was also published online by HeadStuff. He publishes book reviews and author interviews on Everybody’s Reviewing blog.

Lee is currently studying MA in Creative Writing at the University of Leicester. He has previously studied under Man Booker Prize shortlisted author Alison Moore.

Q: Do you have a lucky writing talisman? If so, what is it?

A: A hand-made stoneware mug which I bought in Stratford upon Avon.

 

Q: Do you have a favourite quote? (from a book, movie, song, speech…)

A: ‘This is presented as a work of fiction and dedicated to nobody,’ Post Office by Charles Bukowski

 

Q: If you could teleport yourself anywhere, real or fictional, where would it be and why?

A: Portmeirion North Wales. Because there is nowhere else like it.
